Housing for construction management of Perrault's towers
By the end of March 2010 the “administrative“ groundbreaking ceremeoniy for Dominique Perrault’s high rise towers—the so called “DC-Towers”—took place. DC derives from Danube-City which is the name for a huge city development area in Vienna.
An excellent occation to leave the couch and explore in situ. While walking arround, Rem Koolhaas’ text on Junkspace came to my mind. But first things first.

This is not exactly what one calls an architectural project, thus it may seem to be inappropriate. Still I had to post it, just because I am always touched by the frogs songs – living so happy in their habitat.

atelier van lieshout, 'bikinibar' (2006)
Preview of Out Site_04: Three bars, designed by Atelier van Lishout are exhibited in public space at (and in front of) the MQ (Museumsquartier) in Vienna. Festive opening is on 4th of March. The objects are to be seen until 2nd of May 2010. The exhibition is organised by the MUMOK Museum ModernerKunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien. There will be three more objects from 2008 exhibited at the foyer of the MUMOK.

Schlögl & Süß, conversion Hungerburgbahn 2007
The waiting room had do be extended, due to a better handling of the masses of passengers and their luggage. Schlögl & Süß had to implement the conversion into the historical architecture by Franz Baumann. EXPLORE »
